A European Framework
for Astro*Carto*Graphy

The European Astro*Carto*Graphy Association (EAA) supports the development of Astro*Carto*Graphy as a recognised professional practice. Through research,
publications, and collaboration, the association contributes to a structured and
credible framework for the field across Europe.

An Institutional Structure for Europe

Astro*Carto*Graphy in Europe has developed through independent practitioners, informal networks, and international training pathways. The absence of a dedicated European structure has limited both the visibility of the discipline and the recognition of qualified practitioners.

The European Astro*Carto*Graphy Association (EAA) addresses this gap by establishing a formal framework for research, transmission, and professional standards across European countries.

Formally registered in France in March 2026, the Association operates within a defined legal and institutional framework. The Association is publicly registered and documented through the Journal Officiel de la République Française.

A Discipline at a Turning Point

Astro*Carto*Graphy is currently undergoing a generational transition. Early practitioners trained within established methodological frameworks are progressively retiring, while European practitioners continue to work across fragmented linguistic and institutional environments.

This moment creates both a risk of fragmentation and an opportunity to establish a coherent European framework for the discipline.

Mission and Charter

The European Astro*Carto*Graphy Association (EAA) operates under a defined mission and charter establishing its role in the development, transmission, and professionalisation of Astro*Carto*Graphy across Europe.

It provides a neutral institutional framework supporting the continuity, documentation, and responsible representation of the field.

Karen McCauley Named First Honorary Member of the European Astro*Carto*Graphy Association (EAA)

The European Astro*Carto*Graphy Association is honoured to recognise Karen McCauley as its first Honorary Member. For many students and practitioners of Astro*Carto*Graphy, Karen McCauley represents a steady and enduring presence within the field. Her contribution has unfolded quietly over decades through education, editorial work and the careful stewardship of certification and professional standards. Karen holds an M.A. in Educational Psychology from UCLA and served as Director of Education at Kepler College from 2011 to 2021, where she helped guide generations of students entering astrology and locational studies. Her earlier work included teaching through Aquarius Workshops and serving as editor and…

Martin Davis and the Birth of Destiny Points

The European Astro*Carto*Graphy Association highlights a new historical research article examining Martin Davis’s contribution to modern Astromapping and the development of “Destiny Points” through the combined use of Astro*Carto*Graphy and local space techniques. The article traces Davis’s theoretical framework through archival publications, recorded lectures, and rare source material from the Astrological Association and The Wessex Astrologer. Particular attention is given to the “Dimensions of Astrology” model, in which Davis attempted to situate astrocartography, local space, bi-parans, and geodetics within a broader experiential structure of astrology. Forthcoming Study: Gauquelin Sectors and Astro*Carto*Graphy — A Diurnal Angularity Model (11 July 2026)

The European Astro*Carto*Graphy Association will publish a research paper on 11 July 2026 examining the relationship between Gauquelin sectors and astrocartography. The study investigates whether planetary effects observed beyond exact angular lines may be more accurately understood in terms of post-angular phases of diurnal motion, as identified in the statistical work of Michel Gauquelin. In doing so, it introduces a diurnal angularity model as a potential framework for describing extended angular influence within locational astrology. The research is based on a combined analysis of Gauquelin’s sector theory and contemporary astrocartographic observation. Its objective is to clarify the role of angularity…
